ManNAcDH is part of the UDP-glucose/GDP-mannose dehydrogenase family. ManNAcDH converts D-ManNAc to D-Mannuronic Acid while reducing NAD+ to NADH.

Enzyme/substrate ratio should be in the range of 0.04 U/25-80 μg.
One unit will produce 1.0 µmole of Mannuronic Acid and NADH per minute at pH 9.0 at 37ºC using ManNAc and NAD+ as a substrate.
